Happy Hour’s About to Get Happier with Boochcraft’s Newest Tasting Room
Boochcraft’s first tasting room will be at the new Sky Deck, part of the Del Mar Highlands’ $120 million renovation, opening in 2020.
Bubbly beverage enthusiasts of San Diego, big things are on the horizon.
It all started back in 2014, when McKinney negotiated Boochcraft’s first 5,200 SF brewery in Chula Vista. We found Boochcraft a space that gave them both the power supply needed to brew Kombucha and the ability to grow within the building, which came in handy when they needed to expand their space to 18,000 additional SF just a couple of years later.
Then came the rise of the SoCal hard kombucha craze. With unique flavors like Apple + Lime + Jasmine with 7% ABV, Boochcraft bubbled over its original space and it was the perfect time to expand into the additional production space. With all of that new production space, Boochcraft was also on the hunt for a tasting room to answer the request of so many of their local fans.
Boochcraft’s first tasting room will be at the new Sky Deck, part of the Del Mar Highlands’ $120 million renovation, opening in 2020. The Sky Deck will be an open concept collection of restaurants and bars in the heart of Carmel Valley.

With its newest location, Boochcraft will join tenants like Searsucker and Snooze, and be right across the street from the new One Paseo.
Adam Hiner, Co-Founder and CMO, shared, “Our most recent lease negotiation for commercial retail space with McKinney was a very positive experience. They were communicative, helpful, willing to get creative, but also very honest with us about what was realistic within the negotiation for that particular property. The lease language review and comparison done by Jamie was very helpful to ensure we didn’t get caught up with any fine details down the road that we were not aware of.”
With the Del Mar Highlands right around the corner from the McKinney office, we’re excited that Boochcraft’s journey has led them here and will be celebrating their success with a happy hour (or two.)
Boochcraft was founded by three friends in Ocean Beach, California who wanted to create a hard kombucha that tasted great, inspired connection, and was based in quality. Boochcraft is California’s first high alcohol kombucha, which is gluten free, organic, and derived from fair trade sources. Boochcraft is currently available in stores and restaurants throughout California and Arizona.
What makes Boochcraft unique? First, they are the only hard kombucha to buy all of their fruit directly from organic farms and juice it in house to flavor their kombucha. Second, they give 1% of all sales, before any expenses to important global causes through 1% for the Planet. Specifically, Boochcraft is focused on supporting the food system including food access, food education, and regenerative agriculture.
